The Luminosity Academy learning process

Step 1: Watch the video lessons and attempt the topic quizzes associated with each week in the "Subjects" area.

Step 2: Attend the live tuition session scheduled each week.

Step 3: Revise videos, notes and attempt practice questions as many times as needed to gain confidence in the topic.

On your welcome email you will find your username (which is your email address) and a temporary password.

You can login for the first time by going to Learn.LuminosityAcademy.com and entering your email address and temporary password.

Once you login for the first time, you can enter additional information and change your password. If you choose not to reset your password here, you will need to login using the password sent to you in the welcome email.

Your Dashboard

Each time you login, you will immediately be taken to your Dashboard. You can access your Dashboard at anytime by clicking on the "home" icon in the menu bar.

Here, you can easily see your progress and continue learning specific topic areas. Although the dashboard allows quick access to certain topic content, we recommend you progress through your learning in the prescribed order using the "Subjects" area.

Subjects and Course Content

You can access all your course content using the "Subjects" section of the navigation bar.

Here you will have a list of weeks for the duration of the course you are enrolled in. You can click on each week to view the topics associated with each week in the recommended order that you would work through them. The circled number on the left of each week shows the number of videos

Clicking on any of the topics listed will take you to the Topic page

On the Topic page you have:

The "Topic Resources" section where you can download the notes for this topic by clicking the "down arrow".
The "Videos" section which lists all the video lessons in the order that they should be watched.
The "Quiz" section where you can test and reinforce your knowledge of the topic content.

Each topic quiz is a set of multiple choice questions that you can attempt as many times as you like.

Timetable

You can access your "Timetable" by clicking the calendar icon on the navigation menu.

Here you will see a weekly calendar where you can view the live tuition sessions you are enrolled in. Your weekly session is scheduled according to the time slot you selected during registration.

You can easily join your live class by simply clicking on the class and then clicking on the "Join" button. This will automatically open the "Zoom" application and log you into the live class.

Please ensure you have Zoom installed before clicking the link.

If you need to change your time slot, please contact us and we will try to reschedule you if possible. Please keep in mind, that we limit the number of students in each class in order to make sure that students get sufficient tutor attention so we can only accommodate rescheduling if class capacity is available.

Live Tuition Session Guidelines

Make sure to watch all the video lessons listed in the topic pages for the current week and attempt the practice quiz questions.
Prepare a list of the questions or topic concepts that you need help with.
Join the online class a few minutes early.
Keep your camera and microphone off.
If you would like to ask a question during class, use the "raise your hand" button and the tutor will ask you to unmute your mic and ask your question. You can also type your question using the chat feature.
Use the chat feature at any time to ask the tutor to slow down or express that you are unclear about something.
